The Mayor of Totana, Juan José Canovas, has recently met with key regional and local officials of the National Organization of the Blind (ONCE), Juan Carlos Morejon and Ana Garcia Oltra, respectively, in order to deepen needs this group and set future collaboration between the two entities lines.
During this first contact between the two institutions, the services provided by the ONCE and work insertion and social integration organization that has been providing people with disabilities in the market it works as well as the possibility of hiring people treated for sale of coupons in this county.
In addition, other topics of interest were discussed, including accessibility issues, and exchanged views on the status of members of the ONCE;
illegal gambling;
and information services and advice in the hiring of people with disabilities.
The Council has also made available to the ONCE existing for the implementation of integration programs, employment and job training for people with disabilities, as it can be a ship in the industrial estate "El Saladar" resources in collaboration with the Special Employment Centre Totana.
