Last Thursday, April 23, coinciding with the celebration of World Book Day, the CEIP Deitania Totana units opened its new School Library, which has been remodeled in recent months and has involved considerable effort to the center both economically and staff.
The new library "Ginesa Sánchez Cánovas", received this nomination (by unanimous faculty members) as a tribute to this master and director of the center during the last years, which in turn was the person responsible for maintenance and Successive improvements have been realized over many years in it and who will retire at the end of this course.
Taking this opportunity was made a poetry contest with three different categories according to the age of the participants and which have taken part all pupils in primary school, and a photo contest to detect misspellings on public boards , shops, street signs and other writings that remain with the public in our town and in which they participated, in pairs, students in both courses 6th.
It also held the gift of carnations among all members of the educational community, the price of 50 cents each, which also had a charitable purpose and whose full collection was donated to the ANIKE partnership to collaborate on as far as possible to their work in Burkina Faso.
The member of this association and former teacher from the center, Canovas Pedro Burgos, taught throughout the morning some lectures in which students reported 4th to 6th of activities being conducted by the association in Africa.
