The new Center for Emergency Coordination Platform, recently moved to the old Colegio de La Cruz, becomes a key point for local coordination in the event of emergency services in disaster.

The new facilities will accommodate administrative space, training rooms, warehouse, gym, toilets and showers, among other agencies.

In addition, they have designed and planned the spaces so that in case of any situation or disaster, those affected can stay overnight on the premises and are served with the best guarantees.

The refurbishment of this facility has been opened by the Mayor of Totana, María Isabel Sánchez Ruiz, and the CEO of Emergency Luis Gestoso, which accompanied by the Councillor for Public Safety, Francisco Hernández, head of Civil Protection Totana, José María Sánchez Pascual, municipal corporation, and volunteers from Totana and several municipalities have visited the various offices of the focal point.

During the event, it was found a plaque in memory of volunteer Antonio Serrano Lopez, who passed away on March 7 after a long illness.

The Mayor of Totana, María Isabel Sánchez, thanked the great effort daily volunteers Civil Protection Totana made locally, since only the last is performed about four actions, including preventive and health emergencies.

The City Council, as stated, is aware of the great work being done by Civil Protection, so transform the old school into its new control center was much needed.

To finish the event, it has awarded two medals of merit and recognition to antiquity and constancy Martín Gómez Andrés Cánovas, silver with blue badge (more than 15 years of service), and José María Sánchez Pascual, medal bronze than orange (more than 10 years of service).
