Before the dismissal of forty municipal workers announced yesterday by the PP makers in local government and signed by the mayor and council of human resources, Amoros, the Municipal Socialist Group in the City of Totana expressed as follows:
It seems an absolute political irresponsibility and a complete lack of sensitivity to the council workers, have initiated this procedure layoff of public employees, without setting out an effective and committed in public accounts.
We believe it is stingy, manipulative against workers' organizations, they have indicated to some workers who have to see them off to them, because it is forbidden to fire union representatives.
We know that the list of workers to be made redundant which has undergone many changes, because there have been many political pressures that "it would pull the rug" when saying goodbye to certain people closely linked to PP or their campaigns.
This is a selection bias and that goes against the weak, not at the least they are needed in the municipal organization.
The totaneros still see with astonishment how are workers earning more than € 100,000 per year, while those with adjusted wages (laborers, maids, assistants) and their families whose livelihoods depend, are those that form the bulk of this mass dismissal.
Totana neighbors do not understand how the mayor puts party interests and commitments to electoral gains by keeping employment officers, which are nothing but political finger plugged in the council, yet sends 40 workers to strike .
It also escapes our understanding how, far from acting as a manager responsible domestic and without predilections, the mayor maintains councilors released and have to lay off workers with 20 years of service at City Hall.
We recall that in the July plenary we present a proposal to not having to get into this situation, and we met with opposition, the team makes the PP government, blind and deaf to any proposal that comes from the other groups politicians.
Finally from the Municipal Socialist Group expect the next plenary session, the mayor and aldermen of PP support proposals that we have presented as limiting the maximum salary of € 50,000 municipal workers, in order to avoid such painful and unfair as those suffer today.
