Totana City Council has signed a total of ten cooperation agreements with employers in the hairdressing sector and aesthetics for the students of Initial Vocational Training program on "Ancillary Services" Esthetics conduct their employment practices.

The Mayor of Totana, Isabel Maria Sanchez, along with Councillor Development and Employment, Mary Jose Baeza, has signed agreements with The Manuel Canovas Styling Center (Totana) Inma Rubio (Alhama de Murcia) Chic Stylists; Center Aesthetics and Beauty Maria Jesus Canovas Zabala (The Paretón) Make Up Colors Center (Alhama) Laly Aesthetic Center Esparza, Perfumery Triana (Totana) Aesthetic Center Corbalan Inma Lopez, Pilar Aesthetic Center Canovas (Totana) and Fusion Stylists (Totana .)

Baeza pointed out that the fifteen young people who are part of this project, which are not over 21, have learned all the processes related to the world of aesthetics and getting training in a field that requires a certificate of studies occupationally training.

Also explained that thanks to a grant awarded by the Ministry of Education, Training and Employment of more than 45,000 euros, has offered a training course to young people especially have problems to get a job.

Elaborating on the contents of the course, the mayor has indicated that the main objectives have been to learn the basics of makeup and waxing, and manicure and pedicure, serving customers and preparing equipment, materials and work areas, in terms of quality, safety and hygiene.

For its part, the Mayor of Totana explained that through this project, the City has offered the opportunity of entering the working world and have a job related to the world of aesthetics such as: hair removal procedures employed mechanical, assistant manicure and pedicure, or assistant makeup.

He has also thanked the cooperation of businesses in these difficult times, because ultimately it is the entrepreneurs who create employment opportunities.

Thus, recalled that in the youth sector is where you have to make a more specific training, since it is the sector most affected by unemployment in Spain.
