Councillor for Transport and Taxi, Felix Cayuela, met yesterday with representatives of the Professional Association of Taxi Totana to know their demands and concerns in the development of the profession in this county and work in the demanding compliance with the municipal ordinances that affect this group.
The meeting was attended by some of the heads of the eight franchises that exist for the provision of such service in Totana, who claimed, as request more importantly, working with local police to combat professional intrusion that takes place primarily between foreign community.
The mayor went to the drivers concerned about the existence of vehicles, whose fees will be transferred to the local police, who perform illegal services at prices far below the urban districts and citizens of foreign origin, with consequent damage cause to the professionals.
During the meeting, the drivers discussed other issues related to their activity as appropriate to maintain the main bus stop next to the parish of Santiago, the processing of new licenses or fees.
They also showed their discomfort with the fact that non-compliance with authorized parking areas for taxis only in areas close to supermarkets and large shopping centers and intermodal station Totana.
They also sought cooperation of the City to publish a booklet with street Totana and phone numbers of professionals to deliver them to users as well as assist in the reworking of its corporate website.
