The Association of Residents of the hamlet of El Alto Raiguero honored posthumously yesterday to Pedro Ponce Martinez "El Talao" in his day who gave free land to build the present church of Santo Domingo de Guzman and public schools the hamlet built in the mid-50's, and attended by his relatives.

Similarly, public tribute was paid in the Social Center of El Alto Raiguero Julián Muńoz Acosta "The Korean" who promoted and encouraged the start of construction of the chapel of the council after applying for financial aid to neighbors.

The event took place at the end of the Mass celebrated in the chapel during a day of coexistence in which the residents enjoyed the crumbs, rice and grilled meat for every day in a tent for the occasion.

The ceremony was attended by the mayor, José Martínez Andreo, Councillor for Citizen Participation, Juan Carrion, and other municipal authorities and the village headman, Julián Muńoz, and other representatives of the neighborhood association.
