The general director of Sports, Alonso Gómez López, along with the mayors of Totana and Aledo, Andrés García and Juan José Andreo, the councilor of Deportes totanera, Isabel María Molino, the president of the Murcian Cycling Federation, Sergio Martínez, and the President of the Santa Eulalia Cycling Club, José Andreo, have announced the 3rd Villa de Aledo MTB March that will be held on January 21 and the 12th Domingo Pelegrín BTT Memorial to be held on January 28, respectively.

The Councilor for Sports has highlighted the conjunction of sport and tourism;

while the general director of Sports has highlighted the work of all the estates to generate two competitions that will have guaranteed success;

and thanked the involvement of both consistories, the Regional Cycling Federation and the Santa Eulalia Club.

In addition, José Andreo has said that it is a very special year for the Santa Eulalia Cycling Club, starting the year with two events included in the regional cycling calendar, being the first and second tests of the regional circuit.

On January 21 will be the 3rd MTB Villa de Aledo March with the departure at 9:30 am next to the Municipal Sports Pavilion;

and it has a distance of 41 kilometers and almost 1,300 meters of accumulated altitude that will pass through places such as Las Alquerías, Finca Caruana, Purgatorio, La Carrasca, El Indio, El Roblecillo, Mortí and La Santa.

The second round of the regional calendar will be held on January 28 with the XII BTT Domingo Pelegrín Memorial.

You will start from La Santa to cross the Path of Mortí, Campix, Javalí, Paredes Negras, Algarroba until you again take the Path of Mortí and finish at La Santa;

and will be 48 kilometers of route with 1,300 meters of accumulated altitude.

In each test there is a maximum allowed by the General Directorate of the Natural Environment of 300 participants per test.

Interested persons can register on the Santa Eulalia Cycling Club website or on the Cronomur website.

Finally, he has thanked from sponsors to the town halls and the volunteers that make it possible to celebrate the cycling events.

For its part, the president of the Murcia Cycling Federation, Sergio Martinez, has highlighted the places surrounding Totana and Aledo, being an incomparable area for cycling.

He explained that since a year ago they entered as a new board of directors, they changed the organization of the tests: before it was the Federation and now the clubs are the organizers, ten of whom this year have decided to organize tests with the support of this one.

The mayor of Aledo said that they wanted to join the cycling test of the III March MTB Villa de Aledo with the Encuentro de Cuadrillas to live an intense day in the medieval town.

Finally, the mayor of Totana has reviewed the great work of the Santa Eulalia Cyclist Club of this town and its volunteers;

and has encouraged active participation as runners or as spectators in the tests of the next 21 and 28 January, respectively.
