The mayor, Andrés García, and the Councilor for Crafts, Antonia Camacho, accompanied the local craftsmen today at the opening ceremony of the 34th Official Fair of Crafts of the Region of Murcia (Feramur), held in Lorca from 21 to 24th September
For the third consecutive year, Feramur has to be celebrated in the Alameda of the Constitution of the City of the Sun, having not finished the works of the Palace of Congresses that continue being built in Santa Quiteria.
This year the fair has an added disadvantage: the works that are running in the avenue of Juan Carlos I, main artery of the city.
During these days, the region's handicraft professionals exhibit their products in more than fifty exhibitors from various Spanish provinces and elaborate their pieces of pottery, goldsmiths, lace, glass engraving, stone carving and forging.
The participating artisans will show and sell to the public products made by hand from thirty different disciplines, from leather goods to goldsmithing, to pottery and wood carving, among others.
Among these are the artisan totanero "El Poveo".
The schedule of visits to the fair during these days, with free access, is from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. respectively.
The Official Craft Fair of the Region of Murcia is promoted for the promotion and promotion of the craft sector, promoting the commercialization of products and the development of companies and workshops in the sector of crafts. This fair is one of the main complementary attractions to the Feria Grande de Lorca, and offers the opportunity to visitors to know more about the region, delving into the typical products and traditional works that are shown in this one.
