Last Sunday August 22, we celebrated what was our first BICI-CULTURAL route "La Arboleja", with great enthusiasm of the attendees.
Very moderate route and planned for the enjoyment of the whole family.
The route of this route, pretends to show part of the legacies, geological, cultural and architectural that has left us the history in the southern skirt of Sierra Espuña, within the municipalities of Aledo and Totana.
The exit was made from the Plaza de la Diputación, with excellent weather, from where we went to visit the Sanctuary of La Santa, where we were received by Prudencio el Santero, who showed us the Sanctuary, illustrating us with a little history of the place .
Then we access the Natural Park of Sierra Espuña through the Arch of Aledo to the spot of Las Alquerias.
From here we begin a long descent between parrales to enter one of the most beautiful geological corners of the Region of Murcia, the Strait of Arboleja, located in the middle section of the Rambla de Lebor, where we got off the bike to visit so incredible place.
The final section takes us to the canals of Las Canales and later Patalache, where we will find the remains of one of the six mills that are in the rambla of Los Molinos.
This mill of Patalache, is the one that in better state of conservation maintains and is next to the Cave of the Mauta.
To finish the route we head to the Torre del Homenaje in Aledo, where we take a break, enjoying the magnificent views, before accessing the Tower where we were waiting for the tourist guide of the Tower, which surprised us by its loquacity and historical knowledge of the place, was showing us the whole Tower, while telling us the history of each recess, was a very interesting and very illustrative visit at historical level, which in part we have to thank the City of Aledo that I collaborate in every moment with us.
After enjoying a relaxing time from the terrace of the Tower, enjoying the magnificent views, we lined the beautiful streets of Aledo to return to the Plaza de la Diputación to enjoy a little snack in our tent, where you could enjoy the atmosphere festive of this locality, since it was in full parties
An entertaining and nice route that we will definitely repeat for all of you !!!
