The Department of Social Welfare has closed the program Training for Social Inclusion (FORIN), the event was held in the plenary hall, and which involved a total of 76 people during the last quarter of 2014 and all 2015.
The mayor, Juan José Canovas and Councilman bouquet, Javier Baños, presented the diplomas to the participants in this project, who have developed training practices paid in a total of six centers and municipal offices.
This municipal program, developed by the project Accompanying for Social Inclusion (PAIN), is aimed at the promotion and inclusion of people through their inclusion and participation in activities of basic, occupational and social training;
and which was launched in Totana in 2012.
The project, which currently 4 people involved has allowed scholarships for daily assistance worth some 28,000 euros and people have participated with a duration of approximately two months, doing about 120 hours of training.
In the program, 89.5% (68 participants) have successfully concluded the same, 8.8% (5) have agreed to a standard employment and 11.7% (8) were able to access other resources educational and training order suitable for participation and social inclusion.
The initiative is valued very positively by participants, responsible for resources and various entities and collaborators social agents, as it provides a constructive and positive alternative to the social inclusion of people who are in difficult social situations.
With this merely obtaining financial aid, assistance, encouraging the educational nature of the Municipal Social Services Center of Totana is exceeded.
Participants have developed their training work in the departments of Services, Culture, Celebration;
and day centers for the mentally ill, people with intellectual disabilities and the elderly.
