The socialist municipal group Totana presented for debate in the full month of February, two motions related to improving the infrastructure of two schools in our town.
One of them, for the construction of the 4th classrooms in the IES Prado Mayor.
With this motion, it urges the Ministry of Education and Universities, with the utmost urgency and to the extent of budgetary availability, to proceed with the recruitment of the project, drafted six years ago, the 4th classrooms in the IES Prado Mayor of Totana.
The classrooms, would have 10 classrooms and laboratories, offices, warehouses and workshops on two floors and basement, then proceeding to the demolition of existing electricity workshops, workshops have asbestos roofing and do not meet the minimum conditions of isolation.
The Ministry of Education, after six years, has not contracted the execution of this work, having aggravated the situation for lack of space in the center.
Thus, it is intended to remedy the lack of isolation and unsanitary conditions with which still hold current electricity workshops and education professionals to develop quality education.
On the other hand, the Municipal Socialist Group proposes to the plenary for discussion, that the Ministry of Education assume the costs for the construction of the arena of Barrio de San José, located on the ground attached to the school.
Point out that in the vicinity of the school, was planning to build an infrastructure (social center, showers ..) including a multipurpose room that would make school hall for students of Colegio San José, which not only allow students sport under optimal conditions, but help to regenerate the area, a neighborhood that has been forgotten and slighted in recent years.
In addition, both motions, shall be forwarded by the Socialist deputy Alfonso Martínez Baños for discussion at the Regional Assembly in order that these proposals become a reality.
