On Saturday, August 11, the 3rd "Run for Us" popular race was held for the benefit of the Spanish Association Against Cancer.
The test had two distances of 10 km and another of 5 km, in the 5 of participated the CAT athlete, Miguel Angel Del Vals, "Michi", who finished ninth in the general and second in the Master + 45 category, with a great time of 17 minutes and 17 seconds, that is, at 3 minutes and 27 seconds the km.
Also this Sunday, was celebrated the XXXIV Climb to Pico Veleta, organized by the Macarena Athletics Club.
The test consisted of two distances, one of 11 km and another of 50km.
The absolute began at 7 in the morning, from the Paseo del Salón while the short began 11 km from the finish, both ended in the Sierra Nevada Natural Park.
Regarding the complexity of the test, we must highlight the great distance, the cumulative difference of 3,398 meters and the profile of the test.
Bartolo Sánchez, "Memé", played the 11km test, finished 10th overall with a time of 1 hour and 1 minute, occupying the 5th place in the senior male category.
While Juan Francisco García did the test of 50 km, ending in a time of 6 hours, 10 minutes and 48 seconds, in the position 135 of the general and 1st in its category.
