Professionals from different administrative bodies agreed today to strengthen inter-institutional communication channels to improve care for victims of gender violence in the region of Murcia.
This initiative is one of the main conclusions of the technical conferences held in Totana and organized by the Departments of Social Policy, Women and Migration and Health, to develop an Interagency Protocol on Gender Violence.
The meeting concluded with the presence of the Directors General of Planning, Health and Pharmaceutical Management and Research, José Antonio García Córdoba, Family and Child, Laura Muñoz, and the director of the Institute of Women of the Region, Teresa Moreno, who thanked technicians the "demonstrated interest in addressing in depth the problem of gender violence."
The day was also attended by representative of the Coordination Unit to Combat Violence Against Women of the Delegation of the Government of Murcia, Francisca Munuera.
For two days, professionals from the areas of Justice, Health, Education, Security Forces and Bodies and specialized care to victims of domestic violence, have exchanged views on possible coordination of actions with which to improve care and protection for women and children, victims of gender violence in the region of Murcia.
Share computer records of different agencies, based on the rules of the Data Protection Act, a specialization of the professionals who, directly or indirectly, are related to gender violence, and establish mechanisms to encourage the flow of information between institutions are some of the conclusions presented in the conference and will be included in the Protocol.
