The Technology Center of Crafts (CTA) has been present in the great festival of world craftsman, through its director, Maria Jose Diaz, who was invited to deliver the National Crafts Awards 2008.
The ceremony for the awards organized by the Spanish Foundation for Innovation of Crafts and sponsored by the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade, was held at the offices of the latter on Thursday October 23, where the company Murcia ziggurat was a finalist, the winner being finally Teixidors, Terrassa (Barcelona).
The event was chaired by the Infanta Elena, who inaugurated the exhibition of the winners and finalists, where the very head of the CTA was able to verify the quality and innovative design of the current Spanish artisan product.
We note the importance of representation in the Region of Murcia in these awards, as accompanying Ziggurat was the CEO of Commerce and Handicrafts, Julio José Lorenzo, representing regional government and self María José Díaz, the CTA, done that notes the increasing importance of the Totana-based Technology Center, National Reference research and applied technology to the crafts sector.
