The Civil Guard in the region of Murcia has developed an operation to investigate the commission of several fires in a school in Totana, called 'TENDER', which culminated in the elucidation of the crimes and the arrest of two young men, one of them minor, on suspicion of criminal damage.

The incident took place in Totana, when several neighbors alerted the local police in the town that there had been a fire at a school.

Within minutes of calls a patrol joined in the lieu of notice and took the proper precautions to prevent injury and property damage, as well as to put out the fire.

Apparently the fire had been caused but at that moment it was not possible to identify the perpetrators, as when the patrol service of the local police arrived had already left the people involved.

Meritorious checked the damage to the facilities of the school of Totana, consisting of intentional damage and fire protections enabled columns in the building, and began its investigation in order to clarify the incident with the identification of their authors.

In the first investigations carried out show that the authors gained access to school jumping the perimeter fence, since it was closed for the holiday period, and once inside caused the damage, only materials whose value would be around 2,000 euros.

The Civil Guard has enjoyed the cooperation of citizens

Thanks to the cooperation of citizens and the evidence obtained during the investigation, the Civil Guard was able to identify the alleged perpetrators of the vandalism, which, after a search have been found, stopped and made available to the competent judicial authorities .

The two youths arrested one Ecuadorian, 22, who lives in Totana, and another minor, along with the proceedings initiated have been made available to the Court of Instruction No. 1 of Totana and the Office of Children of Murcia .
