The Juan de la Cierva of Totana Institute today celebrated the tenth anniversary of the implementation of the teaching program of the International Baccalaureate Diploma.
The Director General of Educational Innovation and Attention to Diversity, Ana Millan, participated in the ceremony, which took place in the socio-cultural 'Jail' center of the town.
Ana Millan said that "the fact that a program like the International Baccalaureate and celebrate a decade of implementation in a center is quite gratifying, for the great effort and work involved to the educational community of IES Juan de la Cierva totana ".
The general director he congratulated and commended all those involved in the International Baccalaureate "both students and teachers and parents to continue in a program of excellence and to make every day better regional education system."
IES Juan de la Cierva of Totana introduced the Diploma Programme lnternational Baccalaureate in September 2005 after a rigorous and demanding evaluation by the lnternational Baccalaureate Organization, based in Switzerland.
The International Baccalaureate Organization aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and eager for knowledge, who help to create a better and more peaceful world, in the framework of mutual understanding and intercultural respect.
The lnternational Baccalaureate is a specific title recognized in many countries around the world and carries a sobresfuerzo by students and their families, which is rewarded with the acquisition of skills and abilities of great importance for their physical growth, intellectual , emotional and ethical.
The Director General concluded that "despite the huge fiscal effort and investment involved this form of high school, the Ministry of Education and Universities and has remained committed to this modality as one of the priorities of educational administration."
