Totana hosts from today until 9 November II Murcia Regional Ornithological Competition "Ciudad de Totana" which is organized by the Ornithological Sports Association "Santa Eulalia" Totana (ADOSET) and has the support of the Regional Ornithological Federation Murcia, Spanish Ornithological Confederation and the city of Totana.
Councillor for Sports, Bartholomew Pallares, presented this event, accompanied by the president of ADOSET, Jose Navarro, and Vice President of the association, Josefa Maria Valenzuela.
Around 1,800 copies of birds will be participating in this contest, which will take place in Hall & Celebrations "Mosaic", located in the Industrial Park, "The Salt Marsh".
During the day today and tomorrow will be the receipt of the birds, who come from different points of the Murcia region, bordering provinces like Alicante or Almeria and even Huesca, while Sunday, November 2, proceed to trial birds.
The vernissage will take place on Thursday, November 6th, at eight o'clock, and from nine in the evening and open to the public, which will also visit two days later.
Finally, the awards ceremony will take place on Sunday 9th.
The mayor thanked the organizers has been counted at all times with the City Council and stressed that this is an important event that says a lot of prestige and work carried ADOSET.
Pallares has also highlighted that such initiatives sport and tourism go hand in hand, as the celebration in the town for a competition of this nature allow Totana many fans visiting this discipline.
The organizers have informed that the holding of this event had initially sought 14 companies of this community;
therefore stressed the importance of Totana who is welcome;
and thanked the Consistory and partners to collaborate in this project.
