The Civil Guard Murcia Totana has developed the 'TAXIDERMIST' operation, which has resulted in the complaint by a person carrying five pieces of stuffed animals hunting without the required documentation, as well as the seizure of such parts naturalized.
The performances took place after civil guards specializing in prevention of public safety, as part of the services in place to prevent and investigate environmental crimes and offenses related to hunting in Totana intercepted a van carrying several naturalized animals entire body as well as parts of others.
Agents of the Nature Conservation (SEPRONA) continued acting with checking the documentation required for the transport of these pieces, namely five parts Breast big game wildlife naturalized species of deer (Cervus elaphus) , ibex (Cabra pyrenaica), roe deer (Capreolus capreolus), chamois (Rupicapra Rupicapra) and mouflon (Ovis musimon).
The civil guards checked the driver of the van, carrying parts from Andújar (Jaén) to Totana, lacked the proper permits and tags that enable its possession and transport, so he ordered the seizure of parts and as to the complaint to the Directorate-General for Environment of the Region of Murcia responsible for the facts alleged offense under the Hunting Act autonomic.
Law 7/2003, of 12 November, River Fishing and Hunting in the Region of Murcia, in paragraph referred to taxidermy and fur, specifies that copies of wildlife that may have been stuffed full or in part, shall be covered with appropriate documentation of their origin and identification of the parts Fighter remains the same.
