In today Her Majesty Queen Sofia has given the Gold Cross of the Civil Order of Social Solidarity to the Spanish Federation for Rare Diseases (FEDER).
In this event, His Majesty has been accompanied by HRH The Princess of Asturias.
This award, granted by the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality, to people who have distinguished themselves in the promotion or development of activities and services related to solidarity and social action, which have been a benefit to social welfare grants .
The purpose of this award was the effort made by this entity to achieve full social, health, education and labor integration of people with rare diseases and to make the plight of those affected and their families visible.
This recognition has also been given to Deputy Francisco Vańó parliamentary group and the Partnership for Prevention, Rehabilitation and Care Prostituted woman.
Juan Carrion, President of ERDF, attended the ceremony along with Justo Herránz, Santiago de la Riva, Maria Elena Escalante, Rosa Sanchez de Vega, Juana Saenz, Member of the Board, and Antonio Torralba, Patron of the ERDF Foundation

Juan Carrión acknowledged that these awards indicate associations that are on track and are an incentive to keep working tirelessly to ensure that people with serious economic, health or any other kind of problems can improve their situation.
In his speech, the President of ERDF has highlighted the role of youth in social and voluntary movements.
Affirming that this crisis is being demonstrated the strength of solidarity, and voluntary associations.
Whose role is proving decisive in the development of social policies.
Similarly, recalled how essential it is unity, cohesion and cooperation in these times when the institutions, administrations and Social Institutions must work together.

It is not always easy to achieve, but we know that's the only way.

Also, Juan Carrion mentioned the strong and exemplary commitment to His Royal Highness the Princess of Asturias.

Finally, the President of ERDF, has recognized the enormous effort made by the Third Sector Social Action in Spain.
