The Guardia Civil in the Region of Murcia, in the context of services provided within the "Plan against theft and livestock on farms," planned for the detection and eradication of thefts and robberies committed in the field, has proceeded to the arrest two people on suspicion of several counts of burglary in Totana farms.
The detainees were surprised when they were driving with a passenger and a van fully loaded with freshly cut grapes that, after being brought to justice, was returned to its rightful owners.
In one of the many devices provided by the Civil Guard in order to eradicate the act of theft on farms, in the town of Totana, Civil Guard surprised several people subtracting grape inside a farm.
These people realizing the presence of the Guardia Civil launched flight using several vehicles.
The agents pursued these people and managed to intercept one of them, besides obtaining relevant data from the other escapees.
Subsequently, the Civil Guard located in Cartagena the other alleged perpetrator of the theft of grapes, so it was made after his arrest and brought to justice.
The detainees allegedly used force to fracture the perimeter fence and gain access to farm vehicles.
Once inside collected and carried large quantities of grapes that eventually was distributed in the illicit market.

- Spanish, 67, resident of Cartagena.
- Spanish, 26 years and resident of Cartagena.

Effects recovered:
The Civil Guard has recovered the stolen 1,500 kilos of grapes, which have already been returned to its rightful owner.
This research has shed light on the authorship of three counts of burglary in the town of Totana.
The prisoners, recovered and proceedings initiated effects have been made available to the Court of Instruction No. 3 of Totana (Murcia).
