The Minister of Agriculture and Water, Antonio Cerdá, met with the Mayor of Totana, Isabel Sanchez, to explain the state that are the major water infrastructure for Sewerage and running the regional government and study the new proposals the municipality regarding the design of rural roads and channeling of watercourses.
Among the actions already underway, is the incorporation of the tertiary treatment system to the municipal treatment plant, which is being tested and put into service in the coming days.
This level of treatment than required by EU guidelines, optimize the degree of water purification.
The Ministry is planning further collector Lebor general sanitation, that will soon to bid, with an investment of 1.3 million euros.
This infrastructure is complemented by the construction of the southern general collector, whose bid is already published in the Official Gazette of the region, worth 1.5 million euros.
The works are financed 80 percent by the Cohesion Fund of the European Union.
The Mayor of Totana Minister of Agriculture referred to the other needs of the municipality, as the design of several roads, the channeling of the streams of the Cemetery and The Holy and the activation of the water reservoir in the hamlet of Las Viñas.
