23 students of 1st ESO of the IES "Prado Mayor" of Totana, accompanied by the Head of the English Department, have participated in the language immersion "Welcome Bees" in Guardamar (Alicante) from the 16th to the 23rd of this month.
This program of support for bilingualism is an authentic experience of cultural and linguistic immersion, in which fun, culture, sport and learning are combined, always with native teachers, as explained by the English department of the IES "Prado Mayor".
Upon arrival at the Maristas Guardamar center, we were received by director Ronald MacDonald.
Our students were divided into two groups: England and Scotland.
Throughout their stay, in addition to attending classes daily, they have participated in various sports activities, a gymkhana, games, movies, yoga, zumba, British sports, games on the beach and in the pool, quizzes and quizzes (Pub Quiz ), karaoke and pajama party.
On the day of departure our students took an exam to verify that they had taken advantage of the classes.
After the distribution of diplomas, the professors and instructors chose the best participants: Desiderio Andreo Ambit and Estefanía García Sepúlveda.
After lunch and a walk through La Marina, our students said goodbye to the director, the teachers and instructors, very happy of their participation in this positive and recommendable experience in all the senses.
