The mayor of Totana, Andrés García, accompanied by the councilor of Caminos, Víctor Balsas, has recently met with the new Board of Directors of the agricultural trade union organization COAG-IR in this municipality in order to report on some matters of interest that affect to the sector in this locality.
In this first institutional meeting was the new president of COAG-IR, Antonio Costa Simón, and heads of its governing body, who made themselves available to the Totanero Consistory to collaborate in the interests of farmers and ranchers in this municipality.
The representatives of the COAG-IR showed their interest in the state in which the processing of the Municipal Planning Plan is related to the agricultural sector and the exemption of the rustic IBI through the decrees of drought as a measure of support to agriculture, a measure that depends directly on the Government of the Nation.
During the meeting also addressed the reduction decreed in the modules in the IRPF this year that affects table grape producers in the Guadalentín region as a result of problems due to drought, and that has been established in the 0.16 and they want it to be extended to the rest of the crops.
In addition, other issues were addressed such as the supply situation of irrigation water in this municipality, the high voltage line, the modification of the route of the AVE and its affection to agricultural owners and the forecast of rural roads.
In this regard, municipal officials reported that, within the framework of the Regional Road Plan of the Autonomous Community, is pending the preparation by the regional government of existing from the Mazarrón road to the Casa del Trini and the Camino de Hondales to La Barquilla (approved fixes pending);
and four more have been requested in successive annuity programs.
