The Department of Sports reports that last Friday, April 13 began the Local Phase of School Sports Handball, organized by the Department of Sports, and involving 320 schoolchildren, belonging to the category alevín.
The participating schools have been the "Reina Sofía", "Tierno Galván", "Santa Eulalia", "La Cruz", "La Milagrosa", "Santiago", "Comarcal Deitania", "San José" and "Guadalentín" schools. "
In the mixed modality, the competition has 21 teams, framed in 7 groups of three teams, who will play a first phase as a league, qualifying for the quarterfinals the best classified of each group.
In the modality of female handball, the competition has 7 teams, framed in two groups, so that the two best centers of each group will qualify for the semifinals.
Finally, from the Department is reported that there will be a trophy and medals for the three best teams classified in each of the sports modalities called.
