The Mayor, Andrés García, and the Deputy Mayor, Juan José Cánovas, accompanied by other members of the Municipal Corporation, have visited today the workshops organized by the educational community of the CEIP "Tierno Galván" within the activities of its Cultural Week.
The municipal authorities have been accompanied by the director of the school, María Cabrera, and other teachers at the center while they knew first hand the development of the programmed initiatives.
This teaching center celebrates this program from April 16 to 27, and this year it is reflected in a series of workshops that are focused on the daily domestic chores of the home, with the title "Living and learning," and in which involved teachers, mothers and fathers and students.
The program includes different workshops that will be developed during these two weeks;
and the activities offered have been divided into five sections (DIY, sewing, laundry, bedroom and kitchen);
and in which all school children will participate, between 3 and 12 years old.
These workshops are conducted in order that students learn beyond what they develop in their classroom, performing a series of manipulative activities that help them to be more autonomous when performing everyday tasks and inculcate values ​​linked to These works.
The mayor wanted to take advantage of the occasion to congratulate the educational community of the teaching center for this great initiative;
and has highlighted the innovative and entrepreneurial work in pedagogical matters that has been developing this school in Totana for many years thanks to the involvement of teachers and mothers and fathers.
