The Town Planning Councilor, Carlos Ballester, has announced that the City of Totana will formally request the Administrator of Railway Infrastructures (Adif) to expand, as far as possible, the period of allegations set at fifteen days to present allegations to the layout of the Mediterranean Corridor of the Murcia-Almería AVE after the modification of the project as it passes through the Totanero municipality.
The mayor explained that the project includes a small change with respect to the year 2012, so that a curve is softened upon arrival in Totana to move with greater speed, so this correction may affect new land owners.
Hence the "neighborhood concern" among those affected by the mayor of Urbanism, Carlos Ballester, who explains that "the new layout affects many more buildings, including some first homes."
Although it is difficult for the term given by Adif to be extended, the totanero City Council will request it, because it believes that it is insufficient with the fifteen working days established.
"We understand that it is very short term, until May 3, for people to see how it affects them, to find a technician or legal team to help them resolve their doubts and process their allegations," says the mayor of Urbanism.
Not only are individuals affected by these expropriations, but also the Totana City Council itself and even the Mancomunidad de Canales del Taibilla are in the expropriated relationship in this strip of land that runs mainly parallel to the railroad in service, with the order to take advantage of the current hallway.
The Department of Urban Planning is offering these days personalized attention to the public and the neighboring owners of this municipality affected by the new layout of the Mediterranean Corridor, every day until May 3, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
For this reason, the documentation of expropriations of the aforementioned project can be examined, in days and business hours of office, in the Government Delegation in the Region of Murcia (Avenida Alfonso X el Sabio, 6, 30008, Murcia), in the Directorate Adif High Speed ​​Projects (C / Titan, 4 and 6, 28045 Madrid) or in the municipalities of Murcia, Librilla, Alhama de Murcia, Totana and Lorca.
The allegations that are formulated must be addressed to the Project Management of Adif Alta Velocidad (C / Titán 4-6, 28045 Madrid), indicating as a reference "Public information expropriations of the Platform Construction Project of the Mediterranean High-Speed ​​Corridor MurciaAlmería Section: Sangonera- Lorca ".
The Official Bulletin of the Region of Murcia (BORM) published on April 12 the Adif announcement by which it submits to public information, for expropriation purposes, the construction project of the railway platform, in the stretch Sangonera-Lorca , which affects its passage through the municipality of Totana;
having a term of 15 working days.
Adif opened the public information period of fifteen days on the list of goods and rights affected by the execution of the works, so that the owners of the land can rectify possible errors or oppose the occupation of their farms by the construction companies , once the project is awarded.
Adif contemplates expropriating a total of 394 properties in the municipality of Totana for the construction of the Mediterranean Corridor, so that it is the municipality where more farms are concentrated in the new railway section projected between Sangonera and Lorca, 48.3 kilometers long .
To do so, it will expropriate 1,255 farms, mostly agricultural land, in five municipalities: Murcia, Librilla, Alhama, Totana and Lorca.
A thousand owners will be affected, who have fifteen days to present their allegations.

A total of 1,255 farms and plots will be expropriated in the five municipalities, of which only 104 are municipal property.
By municipalities, Totana is the term that contributes the most: above half a million meters, which correspond to 394 farms.
