The Service of Advice to the User of the Municipal Services of the Department of Economic Development offers a series of recommendations in relation to the renewal of the Social Bond of electricity.
Energy is an essential resource for everyday life, with electricity being the majority supply in our area.
Socio-economic inequalities make necessary measures to alleviate, especially in contexts of economic crisis, situations of vulnerability in which certain groups can be found.
The so-called "Electric Social Bond" has been a resource to pay the electric bill provided that certain requirements are met.
After a period of time since its implementation, since last October, the regulatory regulations to be able to benefit from the bonus have registered a series of changes.
So that all users who are enjoying the Electric Social Bonus continue to do so, until this next April 10 they have a deadline to prove that they still meet the requirements to benefit from the anticipated discount.
The sole reference marketers authorized to apply the Social Bonus are obliged to notify their clients of the obligation to renew said bonus.
The new norm contemplates as possible beneficiaries the pensioners (members of the family unit due to retirement or permanent disability), large families (with no income limit), family units with income equal to or lower than the established limits.
The income limits are increased in case of special circumstances (disability equal to or greater than 33%, gender violence or victims of terrorism), which are accredited by Social Services once they are presented with proof of going through some of the these circumstances.
The anticipated discounts, on the term of power and consumption of electricity, are 25 and 40%, in addition those who are considered at risk of exclusion, it is possible that they do not have to pay one or more bills.
The subsidized consumption has annual maximums ranging from 1,680 Kw / h for pensioners, to 3,600 Kw / h for large families.
The reference marketers are Iberdrola, Endesa, Gas Natural, EDP, Viesgo and CHC.
On their websites and offices, information can be collected and applications for Social Bonus processed.
Note: Iberdrola has an information point in Totana on Doctor López Ibor street number 10. Telephone 968 06 64 29.
