An agreement of similar characteristics has already been signed a few weeks ago with the UMU for a total amount of 2,200 euros
The Local Government Board has recently approved the proposal of the Councilor for Education, Eulalia Moreno, by which it is agreed to sign the agreement with the University of Granada to assist in the formation of a student totanera in foreign universities for a total amount of 150 euros during the 2017/18 academic year.
The totanero Consistory has been collaborating for years with different universities in the training of Totana students in foreign universities, so that, continuing in this line, it is necessary to approve an agreement that regulates this collaboration with the provision of economic aid complementary to the general grants calls to improve the study conditions of young people who travel to foreign universities.
The purpose of this agreement is to promote the training of students of the municipality in foreign universities with the provision of financial aid to university students of Totana, complementary to the general calls for scholarships, aimed at improving their study conditions.
The City Council of Totana will collaborate with this economic amount, as an aid to the expenses of stay of this university in the university where they are going to study.
Thus, the City will provide an economic amount that will be reviewed each academic year, for this student selected per month of stay abroad, so that for the academic year 2017/2018 is set at 30 euros each month during their stay.
The Local Government Board also approved a few weeks ago another agreement of similar characteristics with the University of Murcia (UMU) to collaborate in the training of students totaneros in foreign universities for a total amount of 2,220 euros during the course 2017/18.
