Students of the Mixed Employment-Training Program in the specialty of "Social Care for Dependent People in Social Institutions" on March 7 have made a didactic visit to RAIS Foundation of Homeless People in the city of Murcia.
The general objective of attending the day is to know the group of homeless people, in which there is little social awareness, and the professional profile of socio-health care becomes more present.
The visit began with the presentation of the multidisciplinary team of the foundation, to continue with the visit of the center's facilities at night, and the talk in which the needs and characteristics of the homeless and the causes of social life were shown and labor of the users.
The presentation also spoke of the consequences that lead to homelessness, and the physical and psychological diseases that derive from it.
All this oriented to the formation of sociosanitary personnel.
The purpose of this type of educational outlets, within the Joint Work and Training Program, is to cover knowledge related to the training received, and in turn complement it in the face of labor and professional integration.
All costs associated with this visit are borne by the subsidy granted to the City of Totana, under which 15 students are being trained in the socio-health specialty.
