The mayor of Totana, Andrés García Cánovas, has recently held a first institutional meeting with the territorial delegate of ONCE in the Region of Murcia, Juan Carlos Morejón, where they have dealt with different issues related to employment for people with functional diversity in this municipality, as well as the problems that the organization has with illegal gambling, materialized at the regional and national level.
At the meeting, the heads of both entities were also accompanied by the head of the ONCE Agency in Lorca, the totanera Ana María García Oltra.
The meeting was held at the City Hall prior to the act of presentation of the ONCE coupon that will illustrate tomorrow March 21 the holder of the Brotherhood of Santa Maria Cleofé and Coronation of Thorns in elegant connection with the Tower of the Church of Santiago de Totana in order to promote and publicize the Holy Week of this town.
In this first contact they have analyzed the situation of the main actions of the ONCE in the municipality of Totana, where many people receive services from the ONCE (blind or with visual deficit) and approximately twenty are employees of this organization, not only with a deficit visual but with another type of functional diversity.
At the meeting, employment has been the focal point of the meeting, which has raised an opening of channels of collaboration for the search, both within the ONCE and outside it, to people with functional diversity of Totana ;
as well as the projects that through their companies have in different points of the Region and in Totana as well.
