The deputy of the Socialist Parliamentary Group Alfonso Martínez Baños has presented a motion in the Regional Assembly in which urges the regional government to hire the project, drafted 7 years ago, 4th grade in the Prado Mayor of Totana.
This project includes an endowment of 10 classrooms and laboratories, offices, warehouses and workshops on two floors and semi-basement.
Likewise, it demands that once this aulario is constructed, it is necessary to demolish of the present workshops of electricity.
The IES Prado Mayor of Totana was born on the basis of what were the facilities of the former Bachelor of Labor and later Institute of Vocational Training.
The socialist deputy explained that his dependencies have been growing to meet the educational demand of the municipality in an unplanned way, using old classrooms and workshops that do not meet conditions for teaching.
"Only the professionalism and imagination of the professionals who work at the center allow us to teach quality teaching, despite the precariousness of the facilities," he said.
Currently, the electricity workshops are located on the original units;
The ceilings are asbestos and do not meet the minimum conditions of isolation, although in the summer of 2014 work was done to improve these conditions, but little or nothing has served.
"These workshops were going to be demolished, since the Ministry of Education hired and drafted a project to build what would be the 4th floor in the current parking location.
This new two-story, half-basement building would house 10 classrooms and laboratories, 4 offices, 2 warehouses and electricity workshops.
The socialist deputy denounces that 7 years have passed and the execution of this work by the Ministry of Education has not yet been contracted, the situation having been aggravated by the lack of space in the center to impart a quality education, apart from the state Inadequate, for lack of isolation, and unhealthy of what are still the electricity workshops.
