The XXXI edition of the Automobile Ascent to the Sanctuary of La Santa will be held on 24 and 25 September, and will be the third test scoring for the Championship Murcia'2016, a total of five meetings planned for this year.
The main novelty of the test for this new edition will that becomes scoring for the Open I Levante Mountain, which will attract pilots Valencia who are participating in the first edition of this new event competition.
The Mayor of Totana, Juan José Canovas, and the Councillor for Sports, Isabel Maria Molino, accompanied by members of the Automobile Club of Totana, José María Martínez (President and pilot) and Daniel Lopez (general coordinator), they presented a new edition of this classic regional automotive appointment.
As is traditional, the route is 3.8 kilometers, taking place on the RMU-502 road, from the 3.2 kilometer point (input urbanization "The Pond") arrival 7.0 (roundabout Holy Sanctuary);
and the test has an average gradient of 5%, a drop of 300 meters.
As in previous editions, the automotive activity will begin on Friday, March 23, for which there is scheduled a series of important activities as the official presentation of the participating local pilots in the test house.
In addition, the same day the long-awaited show-display section, where professionals will unleash acrobatic skills at the controls of their mounts to the delight and enjoyment of the public will be held.
Already in the day on Saturday, day 24, the administrative and technical checks will be conducted in the same exhibition center Totana, located on Calle San Francisco de Asis in this town, from 8:00 until 11:30 hours.
From 14:00 hours, will begin the first and only workouts sleeve of the day;
and then will place the two heats of the race, of which the fastest time will be selected, resulting as the first winner of this weekend.
On Sunday, September 25, at 9:00 am, will start training sleeve, then being followed the same pattern as in the day on Saturday.
At the end of the official sleeves, the prizegiving ceremony will be held in a unique setting as it is near the Sanctuary of La Santa.
At the moment, there are fifty registered, of which 17 are local pilots.
They thanked the volunteers and Security Forces, Department of Sports and City Services collaboration to make this sporting event possible;
and they stressed the need to respect the safety instructions are not to regret any incident.
The organizers announced that there are no hotel rooms in the town of Totana a result of the celebration of this sporting event, and hope to meet expectations of numerous amateur public, as in previous editions.
