The platform "NOW TOTANA" that represents the civil society of our city, and that therefore does not have to render accounts neither in Murcia nor in Madrid, works to try to fulfill its electoral commitments.
All based on constant work and effort, dedicating the time necessary for the task, without any type of remuneration, all with the sole objective of improving the lives of our neighbors.
A job in which we have tried to contribute the best of each one, making each of the members of the same, economic contributions to the extent of their possibilities, to help our councilor in his task. But let's get to what concerns us, which is to continue fulfilling what was promised: We have returned the corresponding part of the grant awarded to our municipal group for the last 3 quarters of 2020. With that refund of € 1,275, the platform has returned a total of € 3,540.85. A subsidy that returns to the coffers of the city council and that we will continue to return throughout the term, because we have not needed it to work for Totana. As we have already said on other occasions, those 1275 € will come in handy to continue with our project, and the 9,200€ that we will receive in the entire legislature would give us to be able to face with the same weapons that the rest of the local political groups in the next electoral campaign, in which we will be able to do big events, rent vehicles, buy advertising space and even hire advisers and staff. But we believe that that money right now, where it is best is in the municipal coffers and therefore, in the pocket of the Totaneros, since these are hard times, everyone has to put their shoulders together, and all help is little. We continue to encourage local political groups to return the subsidies received, since they receive aid at the national and regional level, because we continue to think that the current situation of our city council, with the aggravation of the pandemic, is extraordinary , and therefore, the 171,200€ that are distributed among all political groups throughout the legislature could be allocated to aid, mainly to the health issue, and also to the hotel and catering sectors.
¿½a and trade. At first nobody gave a penny for us, now they already take us into account: we are the Chinese in the shoes of those who for years have done everything in the same way, thinking only about electoral revenue. Things will change although some continue to insist on saying: "It has always been done like this" when you show them that this way of acting is wrong. We will continue to fight against the force of habit.
