The mayor of Totana, Juan José C novas, has sent a message on the occasion of the Christmas celebration, in which he wanted to make a reflection stating that this year "this party is different, in our worst dreams we could think of this situation marked by the pandemic "; and he has advocated for approaching it from "the hope of the good data that are given and seen by the vaccine, and with the assurance that we are going to overcome this situation, as has happened at other times." In addition, he has had a memory with the people who are suffering for any reason and with those who have died as a result of the coronavirus in this municipality; and he wanted to send a message of optimism "with the certainty that this situation will be overcome with the capacity for understanding and reaching those most in need." Juan José C novas has referred to the conditioning of the peculiar situation of this Christmas in terms of family reunification and with friends; and he explained that "it is a time for reflection on what our culture and customs mean at this time." He also explained that Christmas is a time to "exercise solidarity and fraternity", and added that "we have to come out of this crisis being better than before and take care of ourselves to overcome this situation from responsibility." Finally, he wanted to remember and not forget on these Christmas days "the people who suffer and need us the most"; and has reiterated the need to "protect ourselves to look to the future from an optimistic point of view."
