Christmas is just around the corner and this year they are especially hard for many families in our municipality, however we have the opportunity for all of us to contribute in solidarity to soften the impact among the little ones. Unfortunately, the socio-economic consequences of the Covid-19 health crisis have not only aggravated the situation of many families that were already in a vulnerable situation, but have also increased the number of people affected by this misfortune.
In addition, we have the experience that the youngest members of our society are usually one of the sectors that suffer the most from this type of crisis. At Juventudes Socialistas we are aware and living of this reality, that is why we cannot look the other way, when our neighbors need it.
That is why we have decided to launch this solidarity campaign in collaboration with the Municipal Socialist Group, although aware that we will not solve the crisis, we will do everything possible to alleviate the immediate effects and achieve a smile of hope in those who are most they need it. The donations will go entirely to Totanera associations that best know the reality of these families, the social promotion group El Candil, the Red Cross and C ritas Tres Ave Mar as, so that they can take care of the distribution. We encourage anyone who can contribute with a donation of school supplies or a toy that is in good condition, without batteries, non-warlike and non-sexist.
