During the last six years, IES Prado Mayor participates in an intergenerational project with the La Pur sima Residence.
Students and teachers have made visits to the residence, collaborating in workshops on music, cookies, cooking, board games, hairdressing, manicure, etc.
This 2020/21 school year, given the exceptional situation we are living with the COVID-19 pandemic, it has not been possible to carry out visits to our elders in person, therefore, the Prado Mayor has been reinvented.
"In the first place, we talked to the teachers and students to see the activities that we could implement, we outlined, approved and contacted the Residence as every year, during the month of October, to propose our annual project.
This year we propose:" PradoPur sima, a Christmas greeting ".
It seemed like an endearing idea to all of us and we got down to work," they tell Totana .com from the Institute.
"Secondly, the residence hall provided us with a list of the names of grandparents and grandmothers who could participate in our activity and we assigned them to the students and teachers participating in the project.
We prepared a written congratulation for them along with a gift Christmas wrapped in a package with a label that put the sender and the recipient of the detail ".
"In this first activity we have participated Germ n, V ctor, Silvia, Alejandro, Lauras, Jos Luis, J ssicas, Victoria, Nicol, Virginia, Carolina, Natalia, Pedros, Alba, Fran, Pilar, Sonia, Manuel , Tainhoa, Nerea, Mar as, Manuel, Paula, Paloma, Andrea, Yolanda, Roc os, Pablo, Renato, Laura, Guillermo, Sonia, Natalia, Rosa, Erika, Ainoa, Agust n, Ang lica, Marisol , Luc as, Trini, Arantxa, Carmen, Mari Carmen, Ana, Mar a Rosa, Ana, Inma, Goyo, Paqui, Mar a Jes s, etc.

"In the postcards we have told them who we are, what we like, we have thanked them for their work and effort throughout their lives.
Wishing them health, happiness, company, peace and love." "We hope and want that sooner rather than later, we can resume those visits in which we exchanged glances and smiles, we shared stories, we chatted and hugged each other." "This past Friday, December 4, we left at the door of the La Pur sima Residence 6 boxes full of gifts and congratulations so that they are in quarantine and can distribute them on Christmas Eve and Christmas to their recipients".
The students, teachers and administration staff of IES Prado Mayor wish our elders and everyone a Merry Christmas and a good year 2021!
