| To encourage creativity and promote sales at this time of year | A total of 18 commercial establishments in Totana attend the VI Christmas Shop Windows Contest, organized by the Department of Culture, an initiative included in the 2020/21 Christmas and Kings cultural program, which will begin this Thursday, December 1 with the awards ceremony of this initiative in the awarded establishments. The Department of Culture organized this contest in order to promote the creativity of merchants when presenting their establishments and products during these upcoming Christmas holidays, so that they are more attractive to neighbors and customers at the same time that they contribute to create a special festive atmosphere, on such special dates, in the streets of the municipality. In it, all those commercial establishments located in the municipality of Totana have been able to participate, regardless of the product they offer to the consumer. The decoration of the shop windows had to be directly related to the atmosphere of the Christmas Parties, valuing the following aspects such as artistic creation (originality, ingenuity and artistic richness), materials used, composition and effort and diligence in the execution of the works. The jury visits the registered establishments yesterday, December 15 and today, December 16, during business opening hours.
This will be made up of the Councilor for Culture and two people with recognized experience in the field. This year the number of prizes is expanded as well as the amount of each of them; and the following prizes are established: 1st prize of 300 euros, 2nd prize of 200 euros, 3rd prize of 150 euros and three acc sits of 75 euros each.
The award ceremony will take place on December 17, at 7:00 p.m., in the awarded establishment.
