Users and professionals of the Totana Day Centers for Disability resume the edition of the magazine " taca", an initiative that was born a few years ago in the workshops of the Day Centers for Disability as one more activity, within the Therapeutic and organizational program of these services, according to sources from the Council of Social Welfare and Disability. This year 2020, especially complicated due to the health crisis, has been a great challenge for the professionals of both the “Jos Moy ” Day Center for Intellectual Disability and the Center for People with Mental Illness. In these months, it has been necessary to find new ways of working, new technologies being a source of inspiration and possibilities.
It is within this framework that the idea of ??reissuing “ taca” arises, a special magazine for users and professionals, which aims to bring the daily reality of Day Centers to everyone. The magazine not only fulfills this objective of making the activities and workshops of the centers visible, but it has also become a pedagogical and participatory instrument for users, as well as a meeting point for the different workshops and programs of the center (Cognitive Rehabilitation, Social Skills and Knowledge of the Environment, Autonomy and Expression, Occupational Program, Education for Health and Sports, Program for the promotion of Leisure and healthy free time, etc.). That is why it is intended that this activity is not something specific but rather to turn the magazine into another activity within our program. This issue that we present today is the last one born during this confinement and we want to make it reach the citizens of Totana, with the illusion that they like it and help them to know and get closer to People with Disabilities in our municipality and the work that is carried out in the Totana Day Centers.
