The Local Government Board of the Totana City Council has requested from the Health Ministry of the Region of Murcia the sufficient provision of health personnel to allow the Primary Care service to be provided "with guarantees" until the end of the crisis caused by COVID- 19 in this municipality.In the same proposal, it is requested to request from the Ministry the sufficient provision of material and individual protection equipment to be able to provide the health service by professionals in this context of health crisis.In addition, it is advocated to ask the Ministry to carry out together with the health centers of the municipality, an exhaustive needs study so that the team of sufficient trackers is assigned, either health personnel or the trackers that the Government makes available of Spain through the Ministry of Defense, to provide service in the municipality of Totana, adapting this number to the needs of each moment.The municipality of Totana has suffered particularly hard from the scourge of this pandemic in recent months; Despite the harsh restrictive measures that have been applied in our municipality, in recent weeks there has been an increase in positive cases that make it necessary to request resources again to be able to contain the spread of the virus without this implying a reduction in care of other pathologies and of primary care in general.For this reason, the Totana City Council requests that, through direct coordination of the Murcian Health Service (SMS) with the addresses of the Totana Norte and Totana Sur Health Centers, they ensure sufficient human resources to deal with to the pandemic, adapting these to the needs required at each moment of the health crisis.
