The mayor of Totana, Juan José Cánovas, has regretted that the Plenary Assembly rejected last night, in an extraordinary session, the proposal on approval of the General Municipal Budget for the 2020 financial year with the votes against all opposition groups, without amendments or alternatives.The first mayor has appeared publicly to make an assessment of the development of the plenary session focusing on the initial non-approval of the budgets of the City Council itself and the private municipal companies PROINVITOSA and CEDETO, SL, which amounted to about 32.5 million euros.The proposal, which also included the bases for its execution and the staff for said exercise, had 6 votes in favor of the municipal government of Ganar Totana-IU and 15 against PP, VOX, PSOE, Now Totana and C's.The councilor has explained that now the Totana City Council will continue working with the extended budget and in the preparation of the 2021 Municipal General Budget.
