The PSOE of Totana wants to communicate to the residents of the municipality the serious situation in which the primary care centers of our town are.
Due to the access restrictions that users have and the lack of personnel to attend to patients and at the same time comply with COVID protocols, appointments of patients with their doctors and nurses are dangerously delayed for the population and queues that are formed at the front door arrive, at certain times, to have more than fifty people. This waiting, reflected day after day, frequently provokes situations of tension and aggressiveness against health workers who, powerless and lacking in means, are overwhelmed.
To solve this situation, the PSOE of Totana requires the Ministry of Health to provide the North and South health centers with the necessary personnel to attend to the sick with the necessary speed and avoid harmful delays to the sick.
It also demands that the Councilor for Health Inmaculada Blázquez meet with the management of the two health centers (a meeting that has not occurred since the pandemic began) and make the necessary means available to facilitate the work of medical personnel.
We also demand that you reinforce with the Municipal Police the control of access to our health centers to avoid conflicts between users and with health personnel.
We believe that an information campaign on how to make use of primary care is urgent on the part of this council to avoid crowds and neglect.
The PSOE asks the councilor to do her job and request from the Autonomous Community a minimum of three trackers of those provided by the Central Government, to complement the service in Totana and free several doctors from this tracking work, and thus win in patient care.
