The mayor, Juan José Cánovas, has held a new institutional meeting with the president of the regional government, Fernando López Miras, taking advantage of his visit to the municipality this morning after the first day of Totana's return to normality, after having stayed since the July 24 in phase 1 made more flexible, with rigorous mobility measures.Juan José Cánovas has reiterated to López Miras the need for the regional Executive to arbitrate a line of extraordinary, urgent and direct aid to the hospitality and local commerce sectors, the most affected by the consequences of the COVID-19 crisis .The first mayor wanted to take advantage of the visit of the head of the regional Executive, who was visiting Totana to meet with hotel managers and merchants of Totana, to insist on the need for aid to arrive "in an urgent way" to these professionals, who have suffered from more directly returns to de-escalation phases due to contagion outbreaks.In fact, the mayor is going to meet next Monday, first thing in the morning, with the Minister of Business and Industry, Ana Martínez Vidal, in order to expedite this demand from the City Council to the regional Administration for the affected sectors; and that they would join those already arbitrated by the Totanero Consistory, whose files have been processing for weeks.In addition, the councilor has transferred, once again, to López Miras the need to give extraordinary powers to the Mayor's Office to keep leisure establishments closed that may offer a risk of contagion, as happened in mid-July with Pub Dubai.Finally, the mayor thanked the regional president for the willingness to meet with him taking advantage of his agenda in this municipality; and both parties demonstrating, reciprocally, the need to maintain "this exercise of institutional loyalty" in this context of a general health crisis, which has had more consequences for the moment in Totana but which can affect, hopefully not, any municipality Murcia, has concluded.
