The Department of Sports has offered one more year the Municipal Maintenance Gymnastics Program 2019/20, where a total of 212 users have participated, most of these users are concentrated in the Municipal Gymnasium "La Cárcel", with a total of 135 users on average throughout the season, between Maintenance Gymnastics and Special Gymnastics for the Column.The offer of the Department of Sports has contemplated for three days a week, a total of seven shifts in the case of Maintenance Gymnastics, both in the morning and in the afternoon; and two shifts in the case of the Special Gymnastics of the Column.Similarly, he highlighted that throughout the season, in February and March, they have been the ones that have registered the highest number of participation, with 147 and 163 users respectively.On the other hand, in the Municipal Centers for the Elderly of Totana and El Paretón, the Gymnastics for the Elderly has had a participation of 62 users, and in this case the municipal offer has contemplated a shift of two days a week.In addition, in the Day Center for People with Mental Illness "Princesa Leticia", the Gymnastics for the Disabled has had a participation of 15 users, also with a shift two days a week.The Department recalls that all the activities of this program were paralyzed at the beginning of March as a result of the state of alarm decreed by the Government due to COVID-19, when under normal circumstances the activities would have been extended until the end of June.Finally, the collaboration of the Councils for the Elderly and the Council for Social Services in the development of the activity of Gymnastics for the Elderly and Gymnastics for the Disabled is appreciated.
