| Thanks to the efforts of the councilor for Social Welfare | Farmers and cooperatives of Totana have delivered a few days ago several shipments of fresh fruit, basically melons and watermelons, which will go to Caritas de las Tres Avemarías in this town thanks to the efforts of the Councilor for Social Welfare, Javier Baños.This initiative has been possible thanks to the coordination work that the Department has been carrying out with Caritas de las Tres Avemarías since the beginning of this social and health crisis as a result of the pandemic by COVID-19.The councilor contacted farmers and agricultural cooperatives in this municipality in order to collect fruit for the most needy families in this summer time.In addition, efforts are being made so that this solidarity action for those most in need can be carried out in other municipalities. The mayor wanted to highlight the collaboration and involvement that Nemesio Mayordomo has had in this priceless performance, who coordinated the initiative together with the councilman himself.
From now on, this solidarity action will continue, distributing fruit depending on the season of the year.
