Associations will be able to participate in fairs and markets, carry out training activities and live demonstrations to spread the trades and incorporate ICT and electronic commerceThe Autonomous Community has approved the bases for the granting of subsidies for artisan associations after the COVID-19 crisis, which were published in the Official Gazette of the Murcia Region on Saturday, July 25. In this crisis situation caused by the pandemic, the artisans have been forced to significantly reduce their activity and are being especially harmed in the current circumstances, so it is urgent to provide them with financial support that will allow them to face the present and future situation in the better conditions.The bases establish an increase in eligible concepts so that artisan associations can participate in fairs, exhibitions, markets, open new points of sale, train artisans, conduct live demonstrations for the dissemination of trades, incorporate ICTs in the artisan workshops, encourage electronic commerce, train apprentices and improve the management of the artisan workshop.In addition, they include aid for the acquisition of machinery and utensils for demonstrations and training, the carrying out of social crafts activities aimed at the rehabilitation or insertion of people with disabilities or groups at risk of social exclusion, as well as projects that allow maintaining and increasing craft activity caused by the coronavirus pandemic.The Ministry of Business, Industry and Spokespersons will publish the call in early September, in which the maximum amount of the grant per applicant may reach up to a maximum of 20,000 euros and up to one hundred percent of the grant for the activity carried out.After the publication of the new bases that regulate the granting of subsidies for artisan associations, the General Directorate of Consumption and Crafts will issue new calls based on the development of the pandemic and the economic recovery of the artisan sector.
