The Mayor, Juan José Cánovas, and the Minister for Women, Equality, LGTBI, Families and Social Policy, Isabel Franco, have recently signed the collaboration agreement between the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia -through the Murcian Institute of Social Action - and the Totana City Council for the provision of the Home Help Service for Dependent People in this municipality.The agreement is valid between April 1, 2020 and March 31, 2022, and allows the maintenance of the Home Help Service for Dependent People in the territorial area of ??the municipality of Totana to users in situations of dependency.The Home Help Service for people in a situation of dependency is a service consisting of the set of actions carried out in the home of people in a situation of dependency in order to meet the needs of daily life and increase their autonomy, making it possible to stay there.The actions of the Home Help Service for people in situations of dependency are services related to personal care aimed at promoting and maintaining the beneficiary's personal autonomy, promoting appropriate habits and acquiring basic skills in carrying out activities of daily living.In addition, services related to the care of domestic or household needs are also provided, such as cleaning, washing, cooking or others.By virtue of the agreement, beneficiaries of the Home Help Service will be those persons who have a recognized situation of dependence in a protectable degree and the right to the Home Help Service, by means of a resolution recognizing the right of access to said service in accordance with the provisions of your Individual Care Program.The total cost of this agreement including in this amount the contribution that corresponds to the user according to the copayment regulations, on the dates indicated from April 2020 to March 2022 amounts to 907,200 euros.The IMAS contribution for the annuities of 2020, 2021 and 2022 will be 734,832 euros; and 172,368 euros from users.
The determination of the cost of the service hour for people in situations of dependency has been made at 14 euros.
The agreement has been signed on these dates as a result of the confinement decreed by the state of alarm following the pandemic by COVID-19; although it takes effect retroactively.
