The municipality of Totana recorded during the first quarter of 2020 the collection of more than 3,100 tons of urban solid waste of organic origin, more specifically a total of 3,158,400 kilograms of garbage in the containers distributed on public roads.As it appears from a quarterly report prepared by the Department of Environment that collects the figures for the collection of household waste on public roads, in addition, 158,840 kilograms of glass, 119,095 of paper-cardboard in containers and 75,760 of containers were collected.In addition, the same study reveals that 31,180 kilograms of waste were collected from the street cleaning service, and 29,774 from the cardboard-door service in commercial establishments and hoteliers.According to the statistics collected in recent years, the months in which the greatest collection of urban solid waste is carried out is in the summer and autumn, although currently only the updated figures are available until March 31.Currently, Totana has a total of 113 containers of 3,000 liters of paper-cardboard and 105 of light packaging distributed by the urban case and the districts.
