The Local Government Board has recently accepted the grant for the amount of 130,729 euros for the development of basic benefits for Primary Care Social Services in 2020 to deal with the extraordinary situations derived from COVID-19.This aid was received by virtue of Decree 282020, of May 7, which regulates the direct granting of subsidies to municipalities and associations of Social Services in the Region of Murcia.The purpose of the grant is to finance social projects carried out by local entities, aimed exclusively at dealing with extraordinary situations derived from the coronavirus epidemic.These projects must be focused on reinforcing proximity services at home to guarantee care, support, connection to the environment, security and food, especially those aimed at elderly, disabled or dependent people.It also advocates increasing and reinforcing the operation of home telecare devices; transfer rehabilitation services, occupational therapy, hygiene services and others to the home setting, considering the suspension of day care in centers.In addition, the homeless assistance devices and the staff of Social Services and residential centers will be reinforced in the event that it is necessary to make substitutions for prevention by contagion or for the provision of new services or overload of the workforce.Finally, the actions must be aimed at acquiring means of prevention (EPI's) and expanding the allocation of items intended to guarantee sufficient income for families to ensure coverage of their basic needs.
