The Totana City Council has recently received two grants from the Autonomous Community aimed at the orientation, activation and support of the young population, according to sources from the Department of Economic Development and Youth. The first subsidy is intended to finance guidance and support services for the young population for the sustainable integration in the labor market of those who do not meet the requirements of the National Youth Guarantee System for an amount of 19,344 euros, being co-financed by 80 % by the European Social Fund. The second of them is also aimed at financing the provision by the City Council of information, orientation, activation and accompaniment services to the young population who meet the requirements of the National Youth Guarantee System, for an amount of 17,300 euros, also co-financed in 91.89% by the European Social Fund. These programs, co-financed by the European Social Fund and dependent on the General Directorate for Youth, are managed by the City Councils, which aim to provide a specialized service to advise on job search and facilitate the job placement of young people from different municipalities in the Region of Murcia, carrying out training actions prior to the incorporation of young people into the public and private training offer as well as advice on self-employment.With these subsidies, the City Councils are financially supported, since the local Administration, being the closest to the citizenry, is the one that can best and most efficiently provide services and achieve employability, socio-labor integration and integration in the labor market.
